Nutritional Yeast "Cheese"


  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic

Blend all the ingredients until smooth and stir over medium heat until thick.
Let bubble for 30 seconds.
Remove and whisk with 1/2 tablespoon of safflower oil and 1 tablespoon of water.
Let cool.

Note: The picture shows a slice of cheese prepared in an small saucepan. The "cheese" will be shaped according to the pan you used to cook (unless you transfer to another recipient while still warm).
